This place is only getting two stars because the food wasn't awful, and the cinnamon rolls in particular were quite good. However, the service we received this morning was completely unacceptable. From the moment we walked in, the woman working seemed entirely inconvenienced by our business. She asked if we were staying at the cabin, and when we said no, she made us come retrieve our menus from her at the front. She did not seat us, and had an annoyed demeanor towards us. After we sat down, she brought us our waters and said nothing to us while we looked at the menus to order. While we looked at the menus, I heard her making friendly conversation with the other guests in the establishment. Everyone else in there was older than us by at least 10 years, so perhaps she just doesn't like people in their twenties? When she came back to take our orders, we were very polite and did not have complicated orders in the least bit. Pretty standard, simple orders. We thanked her when she was done taking down our orders, but she walked away with no response. An older couple walked in the door, and she immediately greeted them with a much friendlier demeanor. She did not inquire if they were staying at the cabin, and she seated them and brought their menus to them. She joked and laughed with them, and spent time inquiring about what brought them to this area of Washington. After she brought us our food, we said thank you again. And she still walked away without any response to us. I'm not one to usually get bent out of shape over mediocre service or a lack of manners, what really bothered me was the stark contrast in customer service that we received while we watched everyone else in the establishment get treated like valued customers. I don't know this woman's name, or what her problem was, but I have been treated so poorly in an establishment in my entire life. It's not that hard to have some basic human decency and say, "You're welcome," for goodness sakes. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The food really wasn't that great, I've heard half the time they don't even have the cinnamon rolls, (which are likely the best thing on the menu, and the only reason we actually stopped there,) and the service was inexcusable. Next time I want a mediocre cup of coffee and breakfast, I'll just keep driving to the nearest Denny's. At least the service will be better.

Much improved. Perfect place for recovery after a brutally ambitious backpacking or hunting trip. Great location among the most spectacular mountains but the previous owners had let it run down to the point of mold inside the cabins. New owners seem to be doing a great job of renovating buildings and raising the maintenance standards.

I am a super picky eater for a man in his 40's so most places I go to eat I usually get a burger because it's safe. The burger I had today (and it's my birthday by the way) was delicious. Nice and juicy. Salad was good and fries were excellent without the portions being too much. My wife had a meatloaf sandwich that she also enjoyed thoroughly . Every one needs to come and experience the great food.
